MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641049399 A) filed by J. J. College Of Engineering And Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, on April 17, for 'multipurpose marker for whiteboard.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention is a multipurpose whiteboard marker with an integrated inkpad for easy use. The marker consists of a cotton core, head, shank, cap, and tail with a cylindrical groove that holds a sponge saturated in stamp-pad ink and is covered by a groove cover. Opening the cover allows the user to access the inkpad, and closing it stops it from drying out. Ink paste can be used directly through the marker thanks to its straightforward, useful, and portable design."
