MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020084 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'multipurpose input peripheral device.'
Inventor(s) include Shoyab Hussain; Jayanta Kumar Mahato; Anshu Chaudhary; and Gargi Chaudhary.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multipurpose input peripheral device, comprising a body 1 a first 2 and second portion 3 configured with multiple keys 4 to provide commands to a computing unit, a flipping arrangement to provide an movement to portions 2,3 as per user's command inputted in screen 5, a motorized spring for adjusting height of keys 4, a pressure sensor installed beneath each of keys 4 to detect type of key to execute function as per pressed key, a circular member 6 attached over body 1 via a telescopically operated rod 7 for placing food items, a motorized expendable pulley arrangement for adjusting size of member 6, a motorized roller 7 wrapped with a sheet 8 for covering member 6, a piezoelectric sensor convert pressure generated by pressing of keys 4 into electric charge for charging a battery which powers a Peltier module to maintain appropriate temperature of food item."
