MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019062 A) filed by Chairman, Defence Research & Development Organisation; and Indian Institute Of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, on March 15, 2024, for 'multilayered coated and laminated material for lighter than air systems, article and methods thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure generally relates to the field of aeronautics equipment. Specifically, the present invention relates to a multilayered coated and laminated material for hull material of lighter-than-air (LTA) vehicles, and a method for its preparation. The multilayered coated plus laminated material is flexible, has a high strength-to-weight ratio, improved helium gas barrier and shows excellent resistance to UV exposure."
