MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056717 A) filed by Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, on June 12, for 'multilayer ceramic electronic component.'
Inventor(s) include Tsubokawa Daisho; Itamochi Takeshi; Ookawa Noriyuki; Miyazaki Tomochika; Hoshino Yuuta; and Nomura Yoshiyuki.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a highly reliable layered ceramic electronic component capable of preventing cracks from occurring in a laminate of layered ceramic electronic components. A layered ceramic condenser 1 comprises an external electrode 40 which has: a first external electrode 40A having, from the bottom, a first base electrode layer 50A, a first organic layer 70A, and a first plating layer 60A; and a second external electrode 40B having, from the bottom, a second base electrode layer 50B, a second organic layer 70B, and a second plating layer 60B, wherein the surface of the first organic layer 70A is formed as a surface in which the first base electrode layer 50A is partially exposed, the surface of the second organic layer 70B is formed as a surface in which the second base electrode layer 50B is partially exposed, the atomic percentage of main component metal in the first base electrode layer 50A on the surface of the first organic layer 70A is 4.0 atomic% or less, and the atomic percentage of main component metal in the second base electrode layer 50B on the surface of the second organic layer 70B is 4.0 atomic% or less."
