According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a multifunctional ergonomic police baton designed to provide both operational utility and physical support for law enforcement personnel required to stand for extended durations during duties such as bandobast, VIP movements, festivals, and emergency deployments. The baton comprises a lightweight stick fitted with an anti-slip base and an adjustable sitting setup mounted at the top end. The sitting setup includes a central seat tportion, expandable side sections, a curved upper surface, internal cushioning, and a hollow ~ttachment cavity that fits onto the baton stick. The attachment may be secured using screws or other fastening mechanisms. rrhe adjustable sitting setup enables three ergonomic support modes: a back-support mode for partial weight transfer during prolonged standing, a head/chin support mode to relieve neck strain while maintaining vigilance, and a micro-sitting mode that allows a semi-seated posture without reducing field visibility. The expandable and cushioned structure accommodates users of different sizes and enhances comfort, stability, and safety during long-hour duty. The invention addresses the limitations of conventional batons which provide no ergonomic assistance and reduces physical discomfort and medical risks associated with prolonged standing."
