MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641008907 A) filed by Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation- Du; Dr. Ashna Soundararaj; Dr. Dhanalakshmi Palanisamy; Dr. Bindu Kamaraj; Dr. Sunantha. S; and Dr. Saravanaram Soundararaj, Salem, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 29, for 'multifuctional jaw relation instrument.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention describes a multi-functional jaw relation instrument (100) by integrating all necessary tools for jaw relation and wax manipulation in one compact, safe and ergonomic unit. This ergonomically designed instrument enhances efficiency by providing a smooth workflow in recording, adjusting and verifying jaw relation in one continuous procedure. This instrument saves space and time by eliminating the need to switch between separate instruments. It is also cost effective by reducing the need for maintaining multiple separate instruments. The spirit level (103) incorporated in the handle of the instrument guides in achieving an ideal plane of occlusion. Thus, during jaw relation this novel instrument provides efficiency, precision and convenience."
