MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020424 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'multi-utility mobility assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multi-utility mobility assistive device, comprising a horizontal plate 101 developed to be accessed by a user while walking over a ground surface, an imaging unit 102 is installed on plate 101 to determine height of user, a pair of telescopically operated rods 103 configured with plate 101 to get extended for positioning a curved-shaped bar 104 for allowing a user to grip bar 104 as a means of support while walking/moving over surface, a microphone 105 embedded on plate 101 for receiving voice commands of user regarding bending/getting up during various daily activities, a pressure sensor installed on bar 104 for detecting pressure applied by user's hand over bar 104, an air compressor installed on plate 101 to inflate an inflatable member, a pair of L-shaped bars 106 attached with platform and configured with a C-shaped clamping unit 107."
