MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541113051 A) filed by Kit-Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute Of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'multi-sensor system for predicting alcohol overconsumption and issuing medical pprofile based preventive alerts.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vimal S; Dr. Shriramkv; Subashri V; and Sini Raj Pulari.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an intelligent alcohol prediction system that combines a sweat 5 alcohol sensing unit (1), a breath analysis unit (2), a heart rate monitoring unit (3), a skin temperature sensing unit (4) and an oxygen level sensing unit (5) for continuous physiological assessment A processing and prediction module (6) performs fused analysis of all sensor inputs to estimate an upcoming alcohol condition. A medical profile storage module (7) supplies health information to a threshold generation io module (8) that creates a personalised safety limit. The predicted state is compared with this limit to detect approaching risk. An alert and notification module (9) issues warnings when the condition is likely to exceed the safe range. A communication interface (10) enables transmission of alerts to designated contacts. The system functions as a wearable or portable unit for preventive protection."
