MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020511 A) filed by Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'multi-robot systems for large scale manufacturing.'

Inventor(s) include Prof. Ajith Abraham; and Prof. Tapas Badal.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a multi-robot system designed for large-scale manufacturing operations. The system comprises autonomous robotic units, a centralized control system, a communication network, and integrated sensor systems within each robotic unit. The control system assigns manufacturing tasks to the robotic units based on specialization, while the sensors detect and communicate environmental and operational data to the control system. The system optimizes task allocation using machine learning algorithms and enables real-time adjustments and collaborative operations between the robotic units."
