MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521104451 A) filed by General Industrial Controls Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on Oct. 29, for 'multi-layer modular connector with angular locking mechanism for multi-axis stability.'

Inventor(s) include Kulkarni, Rushikesh Chandrakant; Patravali, Vaibhav Sunil; and Sapkale, Mayur Yuvraj.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a modular connector (100) for securing terminal cap (102) to an electronic housing (104). The modular connector (100) comprises one or more layered terminal cap (102), an electronic housing (104) to accommodate the one or more layered terminal cap (102), and a locking mechanism integrated within the one or more layered terminal cap (102). The locking mechanism includes at least one guide rib (106) aligned along a Z-axis of the one or more layered terminal cap (102) and an angular locking rib (108) oriented at predefined degrees to an X or Y axis of the one or more layered terminal cap (102). The angular locking rib (108) interlocks with a corresponding groove (110) on the electronic housing (104), in a conforming manner to secure the one or more layered terminal cap (102) with the electronic housing (104) in translational and rotational degrees of freedom."
