MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617020024 A) filed by Genesystem Co. Ltd., Daejeon, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 20, for 'multi-functional pcr test chip.'

Inventor(s) include Seo, Yu Jin; Park, Jun Hee; Lee, Do Bu; Kim, Dong Hyun; and Choi, Ok Ran.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is characterized by comprising: a body part made of a light-transmitting material and having a sample inlet through which a sample is introduced and a processing liquid inlet through which a processing liquid for processing the sample is introduced; a sample test chamber part, provided in the body part and comprising a reaction chamber which accommodates a reaction reagent for detecting a target genetic material and in which a sample injected through the sample inlet and the reaction reagent react with each other; and a processing liquid test chamber part, provided in the body part and comprising a test chamber which accommodates the reaction reagent and in which the processing liquid injected through the processing liquid inlet and the reaction reagent react."

The patent application was internationally filed on July 19, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/010462.
