MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134670 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'multi-functional grooming device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multi-functional grooming device, comprising of a housing 101 integrating an AI-based camera 104 and facial analysis module to authenticate users, load personalized grooming profiles, and initiate operations upon successful recognition, user input is received via an input interface, a hair combing unit features an articulated comb head 107 with multiple adjustable bristle clusters 109, an optical sensor array to assess hair thickness, dryness, and tangles, and an oil compartment 110 with an expandable conduit 111 for uniform application, a facial cleansing unit employs a multi-axis sponge head 113 on a telescopic rod 112, with a liquid chamber 114 supplying purified water, antiseptic, and cleanser via a peristaltic pump, and compressive plates 116 to remove excess liquid, a cream application unit with an extendable spatula 120, and chin-rest ensures uniform application, a nail cutting unit includes pneumatic cradles, dual-axis adjustable blades 122, and laser sensors for safe automated trimming."
