MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541108603 A) filed by Daats Infratech Private Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Nov. 9, 2025, for 'multi-function general purpose vehicle-to-everything (v2x) on-board-unit (obu).'
Inventor(s) include Bhargava S Hegde; Sujan Bharadwaj; Vrishank Bhargav; and Anvith Kashyap.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A general-purpose V2X on-board unit (OBU) that executes multiple application functions on a single hardware unit via a management-first transaction layer that precedes protocol handling. Each message carries an Initial-Transaction-Address (ITA) encoding source-domain, device origin, V2X profile and an access-scope bitmask; a policy-enforcement engine gates per-message interaction with vehicle subsystems to enable least-privilege control and auditability. A deterministic multi-radio scheduler selects among DSRC/ITS-G5, C-V2X PC5/Uu, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth based on priority, channel state and latency bounds, with failover for safety-critical traffic. The architecture supports interoperable V2V, V2I, V2N, V2P, V2G and V2H communication and allows multiple use-case features without hardware redesign."
