MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421028269 A) filed by Micromation Systems Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on April 5, 2024, for 'multi-axis cnc turning system with advanced motion control and synchronization.'

Inventor(s) include Yogesh Ramchandra Walimbe.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure introduces a CNC Turning system (100) and CNC Turning machine 200, incorporating overlapped machining cycles to boost productivity and flexibility. Termed CNC Flexible-purpose Productivity CNC Machines (FPMs), this solution offers a departure from Special-purpose Productivity Machines (SPMs). By coordinating overlapped machining cycles, our CNC FPMs facilitate simultaneous machining operations, leading to significant reductions in cycle times. Utilizing cutting-edge embedded electronic systems and precision motion control mechanisms, this innovation revolutionizes small component machining processes. The primary goal is to deliver cost-effective solutions that enhance both productivity and accuracy while addressing the limitations of existing CNC Turning machines. The proposed mechanical technique involves an integrated machine design configuration and construction, enabling simultaneous or overlapped OD and ID operations using separate turret frames/slides. Optional add-on tool holding options or tool groups provided by vertical and tailstock slides offer additional overlapping operations and productivity advantages."
