MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641019831 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 20, for 'movement synchronized fascial decompression and guide trainer.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pavithra. S; Dr. Delicia Grace Priyadharshini. I; and Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy Veeraiyan.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Conventional myofascial decompression techniques, such as cupping and vacuum massage, rely on static or manually applied negative pressure without synchronization to joint movement or fascial line orientation. These approaches are highly operator-dependent and lack reproducibility. The Smart Fascial Decompression and Glide Trainer (S-FOGT) is a physiotherapy-led, non- invasive intervention that integrates controlled negative pressure with movement-synchronized modulation and directional tissue glide. The system dynamically adjusts decompression intensity based on joint position, movement phase, and fascial orientation, facilitating safe, reproducible, and anatomically guided fascial mobilization. The intervention enhances fascial mobility_, reduces tissue adhesions, and supports neuromuscular coordination during active rehabilitation exercises."
