MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411029113 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited, New Delhi, on April 10, 2024, for 'mounting safety feature for rotary operated mechanism of a circuit breaker.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a method for mounting safety feature for a rotary operated mechanism (ROM) of a circuit breaker system. The circuit breaker system comprising: a rack, a MCCB knob, an internal gear, two pinions, a spur gear, a rotary operated handle, compression springs and mounting links. The method comprising, blocking by mounting links (7, 8), wherein MCCB is in ON state and ROM is in OFF position; guiding the MCCB knob through the rack (1), wherein MCCB is in OFF state and ROM is in OFF position; adjusting by the mounting links (7, 8) according to the linear travel of the rack (1) to ensure the alignment of the rack (1) of ROM and knob of MCCB; and blocking by mounting links (7, 8) on the other side of the rack, wherein MCCB is in TRIP state and ROM is in OFF position."
