MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541129843 A) filed by Kit-Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute Of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 22, 2025, for 'motorized elevator for adjustable overhead bag display hangers with retractable lower hangers.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The titled invention discloses a motorized elevator for adjustable overhead bag display hangers with retractable lower hangers. The system includes a display product showcase (1) comprising multiple front display racks (2) and side display hangers (4) mounted on lower, middle, and overhead axles (6), (7), (10). The overhead hanger (10) is attached to dual lead screws (11) driven by elevator drive motors (12), enabling the overhead hanger (10) to be lowered to a user-reachable level. Lower and middle axle drive motors (8), (9) retract the respective hangers downward enabling clearance for the descending overhead hanger (10). Inverted hooks (5) on all hangers secure the bags during movement The control panel (14) allows the user to operate the retraction of lower and middle hangers and the vertical adjustment of the overhead hanger (10). The system improves accessibility, optimizes vertical display space, enhances product visibility, and ensures safe and efficient retrieval of overhead merchandise in retail environments."
