MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411072519 A) filed by Renault S. A. S, Boulogne-Billancourt, France, on Sept. 25, 2024, for 'motor vehicle lighting architecture comprising a front crossing lamp which glows when the motor vehicle is on.'
Inventor(s) include Ganesan, Sambasivam; Mani, Boopathy; Mohanta, Debashish; and Mohanty, Manisha.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This motor vehicle lighting architecture (18) comprising two rear tail lamps (24), a rear crossing lamp (26), two headlamps (20) each having daytime running lights (30), a front crossing lamp (22), and an unit control system module (36) which is connected to the two rear tail lamps (24) and to the rear crossing lamp (26) so that the two rear tail lamps (24) and the rear crossing lamp (26) permanently glow when the motor vehicle (16) is on. The unit control system module (36) is also connected to the front crossing lamp (22) so that said front crossing lamp (22) permanently glows when the motor vehicle (16) is on."
