MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002062 A) filed by Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'motion-activated heated coconut oil dispenser with vibration-induced warming mechanism.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Shilpa Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a portable coconut oil dispenser designed to overcome the problem of oil solidification in cold weather. The device comprises a motion-activated heating mechanism that utilizes an integrated sensor to detect user-induced movements such as shaking or tipping. Upon detection, a low-voltage heating element is activated to locally heat the dispensing region, thereby melting the solidified coconut oil only at the outlet for immediate and controlled flow. The system is configured to operate with minimal energy consumption and includes an automatic shut-off feature to enhance safety and efficiency. The invention provides a hygienic, convenient, and user-friendly dispensing solution suitable for household, personal care, and travel applications, particularly in low-temperature environments by eliminating the need for external heating tools or continuous power supply."
