MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020669 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'mortar levelling assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Avinav Pathak; Sumika Jain; Vijay Maheshwari; and Tarun Kr. Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A mortar levelling assistive device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a first and second end 2, 3, wherein the first end 2 is attached with a handle 4 to be gripped by a user and the second end 3 is configured with an L-shaped elongated member 5, a touch enabled screen 6 for enabling the user to input commands for levelling mortar, a motorized hinge 7 for tilting member 5 towards ground surface, a motorized slider 8 configured between body 1 and member 5 for translating member 5 towards ground surface, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated links 10 to extend for positioning wheels 9 on ground surface, a camera 11 mounted on body 1 for capturing multiple images of mortar and a suction unit 13 installed with the nozzle for generating vacuum pressure for withdrawing excess water."
