MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105029 A) filed by Chitkara University; and Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation, Rajpura, Punjab, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'monthly medication dispensing system and method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A monthly medication dispensing system and method, the system comprising one or more circular containers 101 having a plurality of partitions 102 to store various types of medications for monthly and multi-medication storage, a user-interface embedded in a computing unit 103 to receive, display, and manage medication information and dispensing schedules, a prescription fetching module to fetch prescription labels, analyze, and extract medication names, dosages, and administration schedules from prescription labels, a data synchronization unit to wirelessly transmit the extracted medication data to a control unit of the container 101, a voice assistant unit 104 to provide audio instructions to guide the user in loading medications into the appropriate partitions 102, a dispensing unit 105 open the corresponding partition 102 to make the correct medication accessible to the user, a notification unit 106 to issue audio and/or visual reminders to the user when it is time to take the medication."
