MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125594 A) filed by Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 12, 2025, for 'monitoring harmful environment using wireless sensor network.'

Inventor(s) include Subhasree A; Vjjayalakshmi K; and Anita Daniel D.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This project presents a novel and sustainable system designed to convert atmospheric carbon dioxide (C02) into purified oxygen (02) using renewable energy harvested from a'!lbient sources. The invention integrates two eco-friendly power-generation techniques-Radio Frequency (RF) energy harvesting and Ultraviolet (UV) radiation-to-electdcity conversion-to create a continuous, self-sufficient electrical supply for the C02 conversion unit. The harvested energy is regulated through a power management module and directed to a.specialized conversion chamber where C02 undergoes electrochemical or photolytic .reactions to release oxygen. The system incorporates sensors and a microcontroller to monitor gas levels and maintain optimal operational control. This approach eliminates the need for external electricity, offering a compact, green, and sc;ilable solution for reducing greenhouse gas concentration and improving air quality. The project demonstrates an innovative pathway for environmental purification by combining advanced energy harvesting with sustainable carbon reduction technology."
