MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647025512 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on March 4, for 'monitoring for control information in a positioning measurement gap.'

Inventor(s) include Lauridsen, Mads; Sun, Jing Yuan; and Yuan, Ping.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solution for monitoring for control information in a position measurement gap. In this solution, a first apparatus determines a first time point for a transmission of first information indicating the completion of the positioning measurement; and then determines whether to start monitoring for control information from a second apparatus before an end of the positioning measurement gap based on at least one of the following: the first time point, a round-trip time (RTT) between the first apparatus and the second apparatus, a processing time required by the second apparatus for processing the first information, or an offset associated with monitoring the control information."
