MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020744 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'modular workpiece furnishing device.'

Inventor(s) include Rajdeep Singh; Rachin Goyal; Rohit Singh; and Shivam Pandey.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular workpiece furnishing device, comprising, a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface and accessed by a user for positioning a workpiece on the platform 1, a touch interactive display panel 2 that is accessed by the user for providing input regarding an operation to be performed on a workpiece, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 to determine dimensions of the workpiece, multiple motorized hinges 4 integrated at different lengths of the platform 1 to tilt portions of the platform 1 in sync with the imaging unit 3 for orienting the workpiece as per the evaluated orientation, and an angle sensor integrated on the platform 1 and synced with the imaging unit 3 for monitoring angle of the tool with respect to the workpiece."
