MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004051 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'modular work-assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a modular work-assistive device, comprising a platform 1 installed with multiple sensors for monitoring levelling of surface, multiple motorized hinge joints 2 installed horizontally on platform 1 for titling different portion of platform 1 as per monitored levelling of surface, a pair of expandable circular members 3 attached on platform 1 accessed by a user for positioning user's knees on each member 3, an inflatable layer installed within members 3 for providing comfort to user while user's knee rest on members 3, a pair of motorized rollers 4 installed on platform 1 and coiled with a looped strap 5 accessed by user for wrapping around legs for securing on platform 1, a motorized sliding unit 7 installed in between platform 1 and members 3 for maintaining required distance in between members 3 to assist user in performing user's work."
