MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531131427 A) filed by Amarendra Kumar Das, Kamrup, Assam, on Dec. 24, 2025, for 'modular vehicle platform and cnc/laser-fabricable assembly system for an electric three-wheeler.'
Inventor(s) include Amarendra Kumar Das.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a modular vehicle platform for an electric three-wheeler, comprising a load-bearing chassis, modular frame assemblies, and associated structural and functional subassemblies configured for manufacturable and modular assembly. The chassis is formed from welded subcomponents defining side members, a central spine, intermediate connectors, and rear structural elements arranged to permit stackable transport. Independent side frame assemblies, a steering rod assembly, a suspension arm assembly, seating assemblies, and a battery mounting structure are detachably fastened to the chassis through mechanical interfaces. The suspension arm assembly is pivotally connected to the chassis through a stepped pin and bearing arrangement to enable controlled articulation while preventing lateral displacement. Structural members are configured for fabrication using planar cutting and controlled bending operations, enabling repeatable manufacturability. The modular architecture permits flat-pack transport, staged assembly, servicing, and adaptation to multiple vehicle variants while maintaining shared structural interfaces."
