MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004078 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'modular vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular vehicle (1) convertible from a two-wheeled configuration (100) to a multi- wheeled configuration (200) and vice versa. The modular vehicle (1) comprises an attachment structure (210) couplable to a two-wheeled vehicle (100). The attachment structure (210) comprises a second body frame (212), a latching mechanism (232) configured to detachably couple a first body frame (102) of the two-wheeled vehicle (100) with the second body frame (212) of the attachment structure (210), and a first charger box (240) disposed on a front portion of the second body frame (212). The first charger box (240) stores charging equipment (241) for charging batteries of the two- wheeled vehicle (100) or the attachment structure (210). The attachment structure (210) may further comprise a second charger box (260) disposed on an intermediate frame (226) of the attachment structure (210) or a third charger box (280) provided in a rear portion of the attachment structure (210)."
