MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025596 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'modular utensils washing device.'

Inventor(s) include Anil Kumar; Jyoti Sharma; Y. P. Malik; and Neha Vashishta.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular utensils washing device comprises a body 1 arranged with a slidable meshed tray 2 accessed by a user for positioning a used dish-plate over the tray 2, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines positioning of the plate on the tray 2, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 4 positions a wiper 5 for removing leftovers from the plate, a motorized hinge joint 7 to incline a chamber 6, a pair of motorized sliding units 8 integrated in between the tray 2 and body 1 to slide in the tray 2, plurality of electronically controlled nozzles 9 arranged on ceiling of the body 1 to dispense a cleaning solution and water on the plate, an extendable L-shaped bar 10 arranged inside the body 1 and integrated with a brush 11 for rubbing the plate, and a hot air blower 12 blows hot air to dry the plate."
