MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006594 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'modular storage utility device.'

Inventor(s) include Satish Kumar; Dr. Manpreet Kaur; Divjot Kaur; Divya; Shailee Thakur; Manveer Kaur; and Arti Dhiman.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular storage utility device, comprises of a frame having a pair of U-shaped links 1 developed to be engaged on a tabletop, a pair of motorized sliding units 3 to translate a body 2 towards the outer side of the table, a button 4 that is accessed by the for storing any documents/commodities, a multi-sectioned chamber 5 for storing the documents/commodities, motorized lid 6 to get opened for allowing the user to access or store document/commodities into the multi-sectioned chamber 5, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 7 for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the frame, a touch interactive display panel 8 that is accessed by the user for providing input regarding any other user, and a LED (light emitting diode) 9 for depicting full storage in the particular section of the multi sectioned chamber 5."
