MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020150 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'modular shoe management system.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular shoe management system, comprising a plurality of bodies 1 having first and second platform developed to accommodate a pair of shoes such that each of the shoe of the pair is placed over the platform, a motorized hinge 2 incorporated between each of the bodies 1 to tilt for deploying a plate attached with each of the hinge 2 on sides of the platform, a camera 3 mounted on the bodies 1 for detecting an empty space within an enclosure, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 4 configured underneath the bodies 1 for moving the bodies 1 at an detected empty space, thereby facilitating in effectively arranging the shoes within the enclosure and a chamber 5 arranged on the bodies 1 for dispensing a fragrance in surroundings in order to eliminate the detected unpleasant smell from the shoes."
