MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026177 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'modular sheltering device.'

Inventor(s) include Kuldeep; Vinod Rathi; Mamta Bansal; and Shail Dhaka.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular sheltering device, comprising a frame 1 that is positioned on a ground surface of a balcony, multiple telescopically operated rods 2 installed underneath frame 1 for supporting frame 1 on surface, an imaging unit 3 installed on frame 1 determine height of a roof, a touch interactive display panel 4 arranged on frame 1 for providing input regarding specifications, a wear detection module monitors real time wear, a pair of motorized sliding units 5 integrated with multiple pairs of motorized wheels to translate wheels along sliding units 5, a plurality of motorized hinges to tilt flap 6, an inclined U-shaped member 7 for transferring collected water, a plurality of motorized sprinklers 9 connected with reservoir dispenses water in form of mist and a plurality of solar panels 10 by means of a motorized ball and socket joint 8 to tilt and orient panels 10."
