MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024146 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'modular shelter installing device.'

Inventor(s) include Isha Anurag; Muskan Chaudhary; Anshu Tomar; Syed Mohd Arif; and Vineet Pandey.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular shelter installing device, comprising a frame 1 having a pair of plates 2 developed to be installed on a ground surface, plurality of motorized suction enabled wheels 3 are arranged underneath the plates 2 for moving and stabilizing the frame 1 on the surface, a touch interactive display panel 4 installed on the frame 1 accessed by a user for providing input regarding requirement of shelter over a portion of the surface, an imaging unit 5 to determine user-specified portion of surface, a Lidar (light detection and ranging) sensor for monitoring area of the user-specified portion on the surface, plurality of inverted U-shaped rods 6 arranged in between the plates 2 to extend/retract for establishing a canopy over the user-specified portion on the surface at a required height and a weather sensing module installed on frame 1 for monitoring weather conditions of surrounding of the frame 1."
