MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019424 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'modular scrubbing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular scrubbing assistive device, comprises of a plate 1 developed to be installed on a fixed vertical or horizontal surface, plurality of suction cups 2 for affixing the plate 1 to the surface, a button 3 accessed by a user for positioning the user's body part in proximity to the plate 1, plurality of inflatable pins 4 to scrub the user's body part or clothes, a container 5 arranged on the plate 1 and integrated with an electronically controlled nozzle 6 to dispense a cleaning solution over the user's body part or clothes, plurality of rotatory brushes 8 to rotate in order to assist the user in scrubbing the user's body part or clothes and a motorized sliding unit 7 to translate the brushes 8 along the sliding unit."
