MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020152 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'modular parking facilitating device for bicycles.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular parking facilitating device for bicycles comprises a frame 1 installed with an inverted U-shaped plate 2 oriented over a bicycle's wheel, an accelerometer monitors speed of the bicycle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 monitors surrounding of the bicycle, a pair of telescopically operated L-shaped rods 4 arranged the plate 2 positioning a suction cup 5 on a ground surface, a tactile sensor integrated on the cups 5 monitors hardness of the surface, an extendable block 6 integrated in between the rods 4 and suction cups 5 for attaining a firm hold against the surface, a microphone 7 integrated on the frame 1 for notifying the user, an extendable link 8 integrated with multiple motorized hinges 9 for inserting the link 8 through a sprocket of the bicycle's wheel, and multiple pneumatic pins 11 integrated on the link 8 for engaging the link 8 in a slot 10."
