MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024083 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'modular object holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Jagdish Singh; and Dr. Gopal Arora.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular object holding device, comprising a frame with an inverted U-shaped link 1 positioned to a fixed surface, a drawer arrangement integrated within link 1 to extend/retract the link 1 for accommodating the link 1 over the surface, An ultrasonic sensor installed on the frame to detect dimensions of surface, plurality of suction cups integrated within inner periphery of link 1 to grip the frame with the surface, a pair of extendable curved plates 2 arranged on the frame to engage equipment with the structure, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 is installed on the frame to detect dimensions of equipment over plates 2, an electromagnetic locking unit 5arranged on tip portion of the plates 2 for locking the plates 2, a fingerprint sensor 7 integrated on second portion for fetching fingerprint impressions of user to deactivates the lock unit and allow the user to collect the equipment."
