MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611027075 A) filed by K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, Haryana, on March 8, for 'modular indoor air purification system using a sealed rigid enclosure and dc centrifugal blower.'
Inventor(s) include Paramjeet Kaur; and Indrajeet Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a modular indoor air purification apparatus for reducing PM2.5/PM10 using a sealed rigid enclosure, a multi-stage filter assembly including a washable pre-filter and a HEPA/MERV filter, and a DC centrifugal blower positioned downstream to create negative pressure. The configuration minimizes bypass leakage, sustains airflow under high particulate loading, enables non-proprietary standardized filter replacement, improves repairability, and reduces lifecycle cost for high-pollution indoor environments."
