MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026078 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'modular exercising assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sonika; Dr. Neha Ugyal; Dr. Ramanpreet Kaur; Harjot Singh; and Mohit Kaushik.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular exercising assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, plurality of suction cups 2 to adhere to the surface for securing platform 1 on the surface, a seating unit 3 having a plank 5 integrated with a back support 6 accessed by a user to get accommodated on the seating unit 3, a display panel 4 to display a pre-fed list of exercises for enabling user to select a user-desired exercise, an imaging unit 5 to determine body dimensions of user, a hydraulically operated rod 6 by means of motorized hinge joint 7 to provide converging/diverging movement to rod 6 for inclining the rod 6 at a specific inclination angle as per the user's requirements and plurality of plates 8 to provide converging/diverging movement to required number of plates 8 for adjusting inclination angle of plate to perform exercise efficiently."
