MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019781 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'modular exercise-based cloth washing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular exercise-based cloth washing device, comprising a frame 1 having first portion 2 and second portion 3, developed to be installed over a ground surface, first portion 2 is arranged with a seat that is accessed by a user for sitting over frame 1, an inclined plate 4 arranged on second portion 3 and utilized by user for positioning user's feet, a pair of motorized rollers wrapped with a string 6 that is fastened onto user's feet for positioning user's feet in a stretched manner, a gear engaged with arrangement 7 mapped on second portion 3 provides a rotational movement to arrangement 7 that is directed onto gear, a washing drum spider engaged with gear by means of a chain upon pulling of handle by user, strap experienced a pulling force which provides a rotational movement to arrangement 7 that is directed onto gear."
