The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular detachable power extension board is disclosed, combining enhanced safety and portability for electrical devices. The invention comprises a compact housing with multiple AC outlet sockets, a manual power switch, an indicator LED, and a built-in overcurrent protective circuit breaker. Unlike conventional power strips, the device uses a detachable power cable: the housing incorporates a standard inlet socket (e.g. IEC-type), and a separate cord with a male plug can be quickly connected or replaced. When not in use, the entire cable is stowed inside the unit in a sliding cable storage compartment, preventing tangles and improving portability. The modular design permits independent replacement of the cable or the board, and supports interchangeable connector modules for different plug standards. These features together provide superior convenience, as the cable can be swapped or stored without tools. Safety is enhanced by the integrated MCB which trips on overload, and the LED indicator signals when power is on. This architecture extends the life of the extension board, simplifies maintenance, and is compatible with various power standards, making it ideal for home, office, industrial, and travel use."
