MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024800 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'modular cloth hanging assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Saini; Dr. Preeti Sharma; Keshav; and Shreya.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular cloth hanging assistive device, comprising a rectangular frame 1 is positioned on a fixed surface, multiple suction cups 2 for affixing the frame 1 with the surface, an extendable L-shaped rod 3 having multiple flaps 4 for accommodating multiple clothes, a pair of motorized pivot joints 5 to allow a user to position clothes, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 to detect presence of a user in proximity to frame 1, a gesture detection sensor for detecting hand gestures made by user, a motorized sliding unit 7 for translating the flaps 4, plurality of moisture detection sensor to detect presence of moisture on clothes, plurality of motorized air blowers 8 to blow air towards the clothes, plurality of motorized clamping units 9 for securely gripping the clothes."
