MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025618 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'modular chipping facilitating system for bamboo chipping machine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular chipping facilitating system for bamboo chipping machine, comprising an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 1 associated with the system and developed to be installed in proximity to a conveyor belt 2 of a bamboo chipping machine 3 to monitor bamboo logs loaded on the belt 2, a pair of robotic arms 4 installed on the machine 3 to grip and arrange the logs on the belt 2, a waste bin 5 arranged in continuation with the belt 2 in view of sorting spoiled logs from the belt 2, a disc 6 arranged on the machine 3 and integrated with multiple slots accommodating different chipping tools and a sensing module 7 installed on the conveyor belt 2 to determine condition of the logs."
