MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026108 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'modular chair for toddlers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh Brar; Dr. Chhinder Kaur; Shivam; and Vishal Thakur.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular chair for toddlers a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface in proximity to a fixed support, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 2 installed on the platform 1 to determine distance of the fixed support from the platform 1, hydraulically operated rod 3 installed on the platform 1 for positioning a seating unit 4 integrated on one end of the rod 3 in alignment with the fixed support for enabling a user to accommodate toddler on the seating unit 4, integrated with a semicircular plate for providing a support to the toddler's back, a pair of motorized C-shaped frames are arranged on ends of the plate to deploy in front of the toddler, motorized roller coiled with a sheet for unwrapping/wrapping the sheet, a robotic clipper arranged on the frames to grip ends of the sheet for arranging the sheet on the toddler's lap."
