MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026153 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'modular boat docking system.'

Inventor(s) include Vansh Shekhar; Jitendra Kumar Saini; Jitendra Kumar Singh Jadon; and Anuj Goyal.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular boat docking system comprises a rectangular frame 1 configured with multiple clamping units 2 for securing the frame 1 with a ground surface, plurality of hydrostatic pressure level sensor detecting hydrostatic pressure applied by tides in water, a hydraulically operated plate 3 having multiple cleats 4 pivoted with the frame 1 for accommodating multiple boat ropes, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 determine presence of boats in proximity to the frame 1, plurality of hydraulically operated rods 6 secure the frame 1 on the shore, a proximity sensor monitors distance of the boats from the rods 6, an inflatable air bag installed on the of the rods 6 providing cushioning effect, a LDR sensor integrated on the frame 1 for monitoring light intensity in vicinity of the frame 1, and plurality of LEDs integrated on the plate 3 to allow proper visualization of the user."
