MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019664 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'modular boarding assistive device for four-wheelers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Kumar; and Dr. Anil Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular boarding assistive device for four-wheelers includes a frame 1 having a plate 2 installed underneath door of a four-wheeler, plate 2 is arranged with a panel 4 via two sliding units 5, an imaging unit 6 determines presence of a user and open/close state of four-wheeler's door, accordingly sliding units 5 translate panel 4 towards user, two joints 7 integrated amid panel 4 and sliding units 5 positions panel 4 in proximity to user's footsteps for allowing user to board four-wheeler, an ultrasonic sensor arranged on panel 4 detects presence of any approaching vehicle and accordingly two sliders 11 assembled underneath plate 2 translates sliding unit 5 underneath four-wheeler, an arm 12 integrated on plate 2 for restricting opening of door, in case of muddy/marshy area, a unit 3 projects laser light to guide user while alighting from four-wheeler."
