MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005482 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'modular blanket storage device.'

Inventor(s) include Meenakshi Bansal; Jaswinder Kaur; Anamol Gautam; and Ashish Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A modular blanket storage device comprises of a modular blanket storage device comprises of a body 1 installed on a fixed surface, an extendable plate 2 accessed by a user for positioning a blanket, an imaging unit 3 for determining dimensions of positioned blanket, multiple flaps 4 configured with a motorized hinge joint that deploys flaps 4 to accommodate ends of blanket, multiple chambers 5 installed with a LED (light emitting diode) 6 that guides user to manually positions folded blanket into chamber, multiple panels 7 assembled with multiple vertical motorized sliding units 8 that translates panel over blanket in order to compress and store blanket within chamber, an air blower 9 to blow hot air towards blanket in order to dry blanket, a container 10 connected with an electronically controlled nozzle 11 that sprays a fragrance solution stored in container 10 on blanket in order to combat foul odor."
