MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541041806 A) filed by Rajasekhar Ganta; Nagarjuna Mummidi; and Zeromatter Tech Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Telangana, on April 30, for 'modular battery module with integrated micro-channel thermal management system for scalable electric vehicle applications.'

Inventor(s) include Nagarjuna Mummidi; and Rajasekhar Ganta.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a modular battery module integrated with a micro-channel (108) thermal management system to boost cooling performance and system dependability. Each module contains a pouch cell (101) array connected in series/parallel which thermally connects to a central cooling plate (103) that maintains uniform coolant distribution through its internal micro-channels (108). Structural middle plates (102) and C-shaped support clamps (104) ensure mechanical stability and facilitate heat transfer from outer cells (101). The module features simplified electrical interconnections through integrated bus bars (105) and holders (106) which decrease resistance and minimize potential failure points. The modular design allows for easy expansion and maintenance at specific locations while supporting various EV configurations to optimize thermal performance and manufacturing efficiency."
