MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517056120 A) filed by Wenatex Forschung - Entwicklung - Produktion Gmbh, Braunau am Inn, Austria, on June 11, for 'modified fibre material.'

Inventor(s) include Rametsteiner, Karl; and Thumm, Stefan.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to a fibre material comprising at least one fibre, to which at least one secondary plant substance is covalently bonded, wherein the at least one fibre comprises, on the surface, chemically reactive groups selected from the group consisting of -OH, -CO-, -COOH, -CHO, NH2, -NH-, -CONH-, -NHCONH-, -COOR, -NHCOO- und -C=C-, which are at least partially covalently bonded to the at least one secondary plant substance."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/AT2023/060388.
