MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421018151 A) filed by Ordnance Factory Chanda, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, on March 13, 2024, for 'modified electric igniter for fuze of konkur-m.'
Inventor(s) include R. C. Vishwakarma.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to indigenously developed and established Electric Igniter for Fuze of Konkur-M, the filled electric Igniter is consisting of plug with filament bridge i.e. twisted wire with nichrome wire soldered, dipped in the composition consists of ingredients Lead Thiocynade, 47% to Specn. JSS-6810-47; Potassium Chlorate Grade-I 50% AR/GR/LR quality; Lead Chromate 3% to Specn. IS- 7602-1975; Aluminium powder light Grade-I to Specn. JSS-1032-DC-3237 ME, and more particularly, it discloses the development of Electric Igniter for Fuze of Konkur-M, the modified Electric Igniter utilized in the Fuze assembly of Konkur-M the Resistance and the response times are checked and found within the specified limits. I.e. Resistance limit is within the range from 7 to 12 Ohm & the response time is not exceeding 20 milli seconds."
