MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421015232 A) filed by Ordnance Factory Chanda, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, on Feb. 29, 2024, for 'modified electric detonator for fuze of konkur-m.'
Inventor(s) include R. C. Vishwakarma.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to indigenously developed and established Electric Detonator (filled) for Fuze of Konkur-M, the filled electric detonator is consisting of consolidation of Cd Block with filament bridged & Hylem washer assembled in the Detonator cap, Small brass Cup filled with PETN type A to JSS:1376-05 and other explosives (ME-300 to JSS-1375-06:1993, Service Lead Azide to JSS-1376-09 and PETN type A to JSS:1376-05) filled and pressed in stages and then finally turn over the filled detonator cup; more particularly, the present invention discloses the development of Electric Detonator for Fuze of Konkur-M, these modified Electric Detonator utilized in the Fuze assembly of Konkur-M and regularly manufactured at Ordnance Factory Chanda and all the lots are found satisfactory in functional proof, the Resistance and the response times are checked and found within the specified limits, the response time should not exceed 10 micro seconds."
