MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517073462 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Aug. 1, for 'mobility management for handovers between a terrestrial network and a non-terrestrial network.'
Inventor(s) include Wu, Shuanshuan; Cheng, Hong; Patil, Shailesh; and Balasubramanian, Anantharaman.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may receive navigation information associated with a user equipment (UE). The network node may transmit, based at least in part on the navigation information and a handover boundary, an indication for the UE to perform a handover between a terrestrial network (TN) and a non-terrestrial network (NTN). Numerous other aspects are described."
